Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026. This policy explains how MyMonkeyGuide processes personal data on www.mymonkeyguide.com under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

2. What data we process and why

Contact form and enquiries: name, email, optional date and message. The Site form prepares an email (mailto) to [email protected]; we do not store that data on a MyMonkeyGuide server beyond the mailbox where it is received. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps or legitimate interest in handling the enquiry (GDPR art. 6(1)(b) or 6(1)(f)). Retention: as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any applicable legal duties.

Activity bookings: when you book via an embedded calendar or checkout (for example FareHarbor) or an affiliate link (for example Civitatis, GetYourGuide, Viator or others shown on the page), booking data is mainly collected and processed by the operator and/or the booking platform under their own policies. MyMonkeyGuide acts as intermediary and may receive data needed for incidents, commissions or customer support (legitimate interest / performance of intermediation).

Browsing and cookies: IP address, device identifiers, pages visited and similar technical data. Non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) are only enabled if you consent via the cookie banner. Details are in the Cookie policy. Legal basis: consent (art. 6(1)(a)) for analytics/marketing; legitimate interest or technical necessity for strictly necessary cookies.

Direct email: if you write to contacto@, reservas@ or [email protected], we process the communication data to reply. We do not send newsletters.

3. Recipients and processors

Data may be accessed, only as needed, by: booking platforms and activity operators (e.g. FareHarbor / Booking Holdings and the experience provider); analytics and advertising providers when you have consented (Google Tag Manager / Google services); the Site hosting and email provider; and authorities where legally required.

Some recipients may be outside the European Economic Area (for example Google services or international platforms). In those cases GDPR safeguards apply (adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or other applicable measures).

4. Your rights

You may exercise access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, where applicable, by emailing [email protected] (or [email protected]). You may withdraw cookie consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the Site footer. You may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

5. Security and minors

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures (including HTTPS). The Site is not aimed at children under 14; we do not knowingly collect children’s data.

6. Third-party content on activity pages

Activity pages may show photos and texts provided by operators or affiliate networks to promote the activity. That material belongs to the provider; it does not mean MyMonkeyGuide is the operator or the rights holder.

7. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect legal or Site changes. The current version is published on this page with its update date.
