Stars on Teide
If you want to enjoy one of the finest skies in the Canary Islands and you're in Tenerife, you simply cannot miss stargazing at Teide with our guides, who will lead you along the finest hiking trails.
Description
If you want to enjoy one of the best skies in the entire Canary Islands and you are in Tenerife, you can not fail to see the stars on Teide by the hand of our guides who will take you through the best hiking routes
The Teide National Park is the ideal destination for admiring the numerous stars that can be observed there. The Teide and its surrounding peaks have received the Starlight certification, which establishes it as a premier international site for stargazing.
The activity will start at the Teide National Parador. The route will begin just as afternoon begins to fall to reach the center for interpretation and observation of the night sky
In this way, as you walk, you can admire one of the finest sunsets you have ever seen from the highest point of the Canary Islands.
As the route takes shape and night falls, more and more stars will appear, and it is at this point that our guides will, using a laser pointer, explain each constellation in the greatest detail, marking each one for us so that we do not miss anything.
We should remember that this is a hiking route, so it is advisable to have appropriate mountain footwear, comfortable clothing, and be accustomed to traversing mountainous terrain.
Similarly, at night during any season of the year, temperatures in Teide National Park can drop very low or decrease sharply; therefore, it is advisable to wear warm clothing such as scarves, gloves, hats, or polar jackets.
Simply taking these details into account is more than enough to enjoy one of the finest experiences you can have on the island of Tenerife—admiring the stars from Teide.
