Route 1 Los Silos - Buenavista - Teno
We will start with our bicycle along the most beautiful coast of the island, Los Silos. Place synonymous with tranquility and calm. Its coast suggests magnificent bathing places and its natural spaces, full of trails, encourage us to adventure.
Our journey will begin at La Ballena, a small cove nestled among the cliffs of the Costa del Silencio. We will then pass through Buenavista, a charming coastal municipality that has faithfully preserved its traditions. Next, we will visit Punta de Teno—one of the most beautiful natural areas in Tenerife, which has retained all its ecological, scenic, and cultural values thanks to its geographical isolation.
We will be amazed by the diverse scenery, its spectacular cliffs, and its lush laurelwood forested areas. The stunning coves provide a refuge for fishermen and beachgoers amidst formidable rock formations—a perfect spot to spot genuine lava beaches and capture memories of our time on the island.
The sound of waves crashing against the cliffs will provide a soothing respite, and feeling the sea breeze—a refreshing sense of tranquility—while we pedal along the path. On our way to Punta de Teno, a natural landscape nestled between the towns of Buenavista, Los Silos, and El Tanque, the views are simply breathtaking. The majestic cliffs will fulfill the dreams of any photographer, making it almost impossible not to pause and capture images of this stunning surroundings.

El Teide, the highest peak in Spain, is a still active volcano, it awaits you with this mountain bike route, designed to contemplate the landscapes that surround it and to feel how decisive a natural monument is in the Canarian biosphere.
We'll start our route a little further down the top. Specifically in the national park. A unique landscape of craters, volcanoes and rivers of petrified lava that surround the impressive silhouette of the volcano and in turn show a surreal landscape very similar to the lunar horizon.
The geothermal activity of the area and the minerals produced by volcanic eruptions have endowed the landscape with striking colors, giving this space a unique panorama. It is a well-deserved World Heritage site that today showcases the fusion of sport and nature.
We will start from the El Portillo Visitor Center and cycle approximately seven kilometers until we enter the dirt trail that will serve as our route. We will then leave Teide behind and descend along a slope that grows increasingly lush, signaling the approach of a dense forest that will enhance our experience.
We continue our descent through the exclusive valley of Orotava—a land forged by fire. An ecological and spectacular landscape where lush palm groves, dark volcanic soil, and the azure sea converge. An unforgettable adventure, undertaken on our mountain bikes, which culminates in our return to Puerto de la Cruz.
Route 3: Orotava Valley (urban route)
A bicycle tour through the Orotava Valley. During this excursion, we will primarily travel by road, passing by some of the most iconic landmarks of Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, and Los Realejos.

Our journey begins in Puerto de la Cruz, an emblematic town that has retained its nautical charm despite hosting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. As we walk through its streets lined with plantations of plantains, we discover El Bollullo—a pristine beach of black sand located very close to the tourist area. Here, we encounter a tranquil climate and a picturesque landscape perfect for letting go of our worries.
We will continue our journey to the highest enclaves of La Orotava, where we will be surprised by the Mirador de Humboldt. This prime vantage point offers spectacular views of the valley, featuring the Port of La Cruz and the imposing Teide in the background.
Along our journey, we will explore the streets and traditional houses of Orotava, while also discovering the vineyards where some of the finest wines of Tenerife are produced.
After a well-deserved break in Los Realejos, we head to El Monasterio. This restaurant is a unique establishment in the Canary Islands. Originally it was the monastery of a Dominican friar, and today it has become a landmark for all residents of the north.
We will head to Rambla de Castro—a scenic area located in Los Realejos and a protected natural park—where we can take a stroll and enjoy the tranquility and the natural surroundings.

In our new adventure, we will take a taxi to La Caldera de La Orotava, which will serve as our starting point.
We will cycle approximately 300 meters along a road until we encounter a trail that will guide us for several kilometers to reach the recreational area of Chanajiga, located within the Corona Forestal Natural Park in Las Llanadas. This area consists of extensive stretches of Canary pine forest and high-altitude vegetation, placing it among the most extensive forested regions of the Canary Islands.
The native fauna and flora find in this place a magnificent sanctuary, along with the most spectacular views in the area. We will enjoy the breathtaking vistas of the Orotava Valley while engaging in outdoor activities.
We will take a short break to recharge our energy and then venture into the lush, verdant areas of Icod El Alto. It is situated on a small plateau about 600 meters above sea level, atop the slope of Tigaiga. From there, we will enjoy one of the finest panoramic views of northern Tenerife.
We will take a break along the way when we reach the El Lance viewpoint, from where we can enjoy a spectacular view of the three municipalities that make up the El Valle de La Orotava—extending from the slopes of Teide all the way to the Atlantic coast.
We will descend to Los Realejos, one of the best-preserved areas on the island, featuring spots for rest and for the enjoyment of more adventurous travelers. Along the way, we will pass by Rambla de Castro, where we will enjoy a stroll among a wide variety of protected species. This excursion will reveal the natural value and spectacular beauty of this protected natural area—a landmark in northern Tenerife renowned for its beauty and tranquility.
Route 5: Chinyero – Arenas Negras
The Island of Tenerife, hides a large number of wonderful landscapes, among which Santiago del Teide and its imposing cliffs of the Giants stand out.
We begin our adventure with a visit to the surrounding area of Santiago del Teide, situated on the southern slope of the volcano. Our journey starts with a bike ride through the Chinyero Natural Reserve—a special place where we can gain a unique perspective on the historical volcanism of the Canary Islands. We will cycle through the remarkable aeolian ecosystems, where we will observe the complete absence of vegetation.
An open-air paradise where the last volcanic eruption occurred in Tenerife. We will see the traces of the eruption and distinguish the path that the lava traveled with our own eyes.
We will walk across a black ground surface created by the eruption, which in stark contrast stands out against the surrounding landscape higher up in the valley—a landscape that is surprisingly lush and green.
We will make an approximate route of about 50 km between slopes and mixed terrain with an altitude of about 1000 meters that will put us to the test and will give us impressive views of the valley and the contrast between the autoctone flora and the volcanic rocks.
A volcanic journey where we will cross the Arenas Negras natural and recreational park, which will be a challenge to check our handlebar expertise.
